Alora Group took over a loss making marble manufacturing unit namely Deejay Neelum Marble based in Udaipur in 1981. The seeds of the company were sown by Kataria Group under the leadership of Heeralal Ji Kataria, a prominent lawyer and an active politician in the town. The Company initially started trading business buying Marble Slabs from local manufacturers. Gradually under the able management and coordination of Kataria Brothers the company started to taste heaps of success and soon became one of the leading marble trading company in the mewar region. Thereafter seeing the growth prospects the company decided to put its feet into manufacturing and acquired its first quarry situated in Kesriyaji. Since then the Company has not looked back and currently owns 5 Mines in the mewar region and is one of the most renowned name in Green Marble in the entirenation and exports marble to 12 countries including USA, Yemen , Singapore, China and European Nations.
